A new process involving your NHA continuing education (CE) courses means you must set up an account with the National Association of Long-term Care Boards (NAB).
Act now to prevent mishaps.
Here’s more on what you need to know:
  • CAHF/QCHF is now approved to provide Nursing Home Administrators’ (NHA) continuing education (CE) courses from the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS).
  • The NCERS database is managed by the National Association of Long‐term Care Boards (NAB). The CDPH Nursing Home Administrator Program (NHAP) will access the NAB to verify administrator continuing education credits during the NHA license renewal process.
  • All California NHAs must set up a NAB Registry Account to secure their NAB Registry Identification Number.
  • In order to ensure attendees’ CE credits are properly uploaded to the NAB system, attendees must now sign in and out of events. The individual’s NAB Registry Identification number must also be included.
  • All NAB Approved CEs are recorded electronically, there are no paper certificates issued.
