
The Healthcare Hero Award is designed to recognize individuals for their outstanding contributions to the skilled nursing profession during a public health emergency. The award honors the dedication and resilience of health care employees who made an exceptional commitment to residents and co-workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nominees must be employees of CAHF members in good standing. Nominators should be administrators or a representative of the entire facility. One nomination per facility. Give consideration to all staff members, especially those closest to the resident including environmental, dining service and direct care nursing staff who provided valuable service beyond normal requirements to ensure the safety and care of residents or co-workers impacted by the pandemic.

All nominees will receive:
- Healthcare Hero Award Certificate of Recognition
- Online acknowledgement on CAHF’s website and social media platforms.
Twenty individuals, selected to represent the skilled nursing profession in CAHFs five statewide regions, will be recognized at the 2021 Convention & Expo in Palm Springs in November.
Deadline: July 2, 2021
All nominations must be submitted online by EOB of the designated deadline date. Judging will be conducted by CAHF and award winners will be announced within 4-5 weeks.
